望宸閣整體都采用南宋建筑風格，木裝修外飾，宋式寶頂，十字脊屋面。地上1層是門廳，3層和5層可以觀光，隱藏在檐樓內的2層和4層則是參觀區。內部設有電梯可以直達樓頂。望宸閣兼顧文化展式、休閑觀光等功能。做為古建筑的照明，色彩搭配與周邊環境的風格一致性要求較高。

WangChen pavilion adopts the architectural style of Southern Song Dynasty as a whole, with wood decoration, song style Baoding and cross ridge roof. The first floor above the ground is the foyer, the third and fifth floors are for sightseeing, and the second and fourth floors hidden in the eaves are for sightseeing. There is an elevator inside to reach the top of the building.WangChen pavilion has functions of cultural exhibition, leisure and sightseeing. As the lighting of ancient buildings, color matching requires high style consistency between the surrounding areas.

“宸”有皇帝、皇宮之義，富麗堂皇，雍容華貴。所以望宸閣整體色系選用黃色。望宸之美在于光與影。望宸閣在半山主峰之上，通過燈光使望宸閣披上了金面外衣，屋檐及塔頂采用不同燈光處理，整個建筑立體層次更加清晰。

"Chen" has the meaning of emperor and palace. It is magnificent and dignified. Therefore, the overall color system of Wangchen Pavilion is yellow. The beauty of Wang Chen lies in light and shadow. Wangchen Pavilion is located on the main peak of the mountain. The light makes Wangchen Pavilion put on a golden coat. The eaves and the top of the tower are treated with different lights. The three-dimensional level of the whole building is clearer.

望宸閣通過對屋頂廊閣的燈光處理，體現望宸閣多層次豐富的“立體通透”感，在一眾幽暗山體中得以凸顯。夜空中俯瞰，望宸閣成為半山的一顆璀璨的明珠。

Through the lighting treatment of the roof Gallery, Wangchen Pavilion embodies the multi-level and rich sense of "three-dimensional transparency", which is highlighted in a number of night landscapes. Overlooking in the night sky, Wangchen Pavilion becomes a bright pearl in the middle of the mountain.

望宸閣按南宋風格仿建，利用燈光將整個坡屋面等結構有序洗亮，經過穹頂的漫反射使得光從頂部悠然散發，廊架檐口結構處的燈光巧妙的隱藏在橫梁上方，自然地營造了長廊的縱深感，將中國傳統的對稱美展現的淋漓盡致。

Wangchen Pavilion is modeled in the style of Southern Song Dynasty. It uses light to orderly clean the whole pitched roof and other structures. After diffuse reflection of the dome on the top, the light is emitted from the top. The light at the cornice structure of the corridor is cleverly hidden above the crossbeam, which naturally creates the vertical depth of the corridor and vividly displays the traditional symmetrical beauty of China.
